Signature Methodology
THE SOULSTAYWAY
Based on science and ancient Eastern methods, The SOULSTAYWAY for burnout prevention and recovery into true self-leadership and innovation has been developed through years of research and practical application. The method is currently being tested in practice, where participants track their progress through ongoing questionnaires — to date, over 40 structured responses have been collected. These early, self-reported results point toward a shift from chronic stress toward deep relaxation and inner alignment. Data collection and validation are ongoing, and findings will continue to be refined as the sample grows.
The Foundation of the SOULSTAYWAY
In the next image you can visually see the influences of the methods I apply in the SOULSTAYWAY sessions. This has been developed through 20 years of study — beginning at university and continued through independent research and practical application.
Based upon what worked for me and my clients and participants, I step by step finetuned the SOULSTAYWAY method.
In case you are interested in learning more about detailed methods, you can find the base information below and find more study material from there.

Scientific Foundations
The core scientific frameworks and theories applied within the methodology:
| Method / Theory | Discipline | What does it say (shortexplanation) | Originator | Academic origin of the theory* | Applied by organizations* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Theory U & Presencing | Organizational Development & Leadership | Transforms self and organizations by opening mind, heart, and will to lead from an emergent future — shifting from ego-system to eco-system awareness. | Otto Scharmer | Developed at MIT | Forward-thinking enterprises, change leadership programs. PwC, Daimler, Fujitsu, (via Presencing Institute-programs). |
| Life Traps (Schema Therapy) | Psychology & Inner Child | Helps break free from self-defeating patterns and old survival identities rooted in the inner child. | Jeffrey Young | Rooted in clinical psychology research | Mental healthcare, executive coaching, HR development |
| Neurogenics | Neuroscience & Bodywork | Uses natural, neurogenic tremors and discharge mechanisms to release chronic physical tension held in the nervous system. | David Berceli (TRE) | Rooted in somatic trauma research | Health clinics, trauma-informed organizations |
| Somatic Experiencing | Body-Mind Sciences | Addresses stress and trauma stored in the body, bridging cognitive understanding and physical release. | Peter Levine | Rooted in Somatic Experiencing International research | Stress-reduction centers, corporate vitality programs |
| Polyvagal Theory | Neurophysiology & Psychology | Explains how the nervous system shifts between safety, fight/flight, and freeze/shutdown — offering a roadmap back to safety and connection. | Stephen Porges | Rooted in the Traumatic Stress Research Consortium | Healthcare, leadership training, mental health organizations |
| Brainwave Entrainment | Neuroscience & Sound Therapy (Research on entrainment effects is still evolving.) | Uses rhythmic auditory stimulation to shift brainwave states (Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta), supporting relaxation, focus, and deep rest. Delta-state sleep is linked to the glymphatic system’s restorative function. | Gerald Oster (1970s pioneering research) | Studied since the 1970s; ongoing peer-reviewed research, including at the Monroe Institute | Sound therapy, relaxation and meditation practices |
Eastern & Contemplative Foundations
Complementing the scientific frameworks above, The SoulStayWay draws on contemplative ancient wisdom traditions and practices:
| Method / Theory | Discipline | What does it say (shortexplanation) | Roots | Studied/ Taught at* | Applied by organizations* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mindfulness | Stress Reduction Science | Cultivates non-judgmental present-moment awareness, shown to downregulate the amygdala and reduce cortisol. | Jon Kabat-Zinn / MBSR (UMass Medical School) | University of Massachusetts Medical School (Center for Mindfulness); Oxford Mindfulness Centre | Widely adopted across corporate, healthcare, and educational settings. Google (Search Inside Yourself), Aetna, General Mills, Intel, SAP, Goldman Sachs. |
| Non-duality & Buddhist Philosophy | Eastern Philosophy | Teaches how to de-identify from rigid roles and the ego, stepping into a steadier inner vantage point. | Ancient non-dual and Buddhist traditions | Comparative religion and philosophy departments (e.g. Naropa University) | Personal mastery and leadership development |
| Meditation & Inner Alignment | Contemplative Practice | Systematic inward focus to quiet mental noise and restore internal coherence and baseline energy. | Vedic and Buddhist traditions | University of Wisconsin–Madison (Center for Healthy Minds); Stanford (CCARE) | Corporate wellbeing and mental fitness programs. Google, Intel (internal meditation programs) |
| Somatic Body-Based Practices | Body & Energy Work | Bodywork designed to release deeply held tension and restore a felt sense of aliveness. | Traditional contemplative lineage teachings | Transpersonal psychology programs (e.g. Naropa University) | Holistic retreats and specialized coaching |
| Wisdom Traditions | Contemplative Philosophy | Moves attention from ego-driven identification toward one’s core purpose and authentic contribution. | Wisdom lineages across contemplative traditions | Comparative religion and depth psychology programs (e.g. CIIS) | Purpose-driven leadership programs |
| Taoism | Eastern Philosophy & Energetic Practice | Teaches balance and flow through yin-yang and wu wei (effortless action) — aligning with the natural rhythm of energy (qi) in body and life. | Ancient Chinese philosophical and contemplative tradition | Comparative religion and philosophy departments | Personal mastery and leadership development |
*Sector applications are based on how these methods are generally practiced and taught by their respective professional bodies and training organizations, rather than a specific survey of individual companies. For more detail, I invite you to reach out to the organizations that developed and train these methods themselves — the International Society of Schema Therapy, TRE certification bodies, and the Polyvagal Institute, among others — as they document where their methods are applied.
